Kombucha Flu Tonic

This mind-blowing recipe draws on Kombucha's famed restorative powers and amplifies them with flu-beating vegetables and spices.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons kombucha vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger root
  • 1/2 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated white radish
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric

Directions

  1. Place all of the ingredients in your Mortier Pilon fermentation jar. Let the mixture ferment at room temperature, covered, for 1 month. The longer the mixture ferments, the stronger it will be.
  2. Once the desired concentration has been reached, filter the mixture using a sieve. Store in the refrigerator. Drink 2 teaspoons of tonic daily.
